- Isn't it too cold to fly in the winter time?
Not at all! In fact the balloon performs better in cooler temperatures. Despite popular belief, it is very warm in the basket while flying in the winter time, after all you are adjacent to a 17 million BTU burner.
During the winter months, the coldest part of the flight is the set up, and we keep our wonderful clients warm in the chase vehicle until it’s time to fly.
- Is hot air ballooning safe?
Yes! Ballooning is the oldest and safest form of flight on the planet.Utah Balloon Flights is proud of our PERFECT safety record.
Hot air balloons are FAA registered aircraft and follow strict maintenance and safety regulations.
- Are there any restrictions for your passengers?
All passengers must be in good health and be capable of climbing in and out of the basket and be able to stand for a minimum of one hour.
For safety reasons we cannot accommodate pregnant women, people on supplemental oxygen or passengers over 75 years of age. Hot air ballooning is not a recommended activity for people who have trouble breathing at high altitude.
